Summer in your head – and in your closet

Summer in your head – and in your closet

It's officially spring! And because fashion is an early bird, we can now look forward to even warmer days. The summer collections are pouring into the shops and we have collected the most interesting pieces from a selection of amazing plus size brands. Take a look through the range.

Living with the elements

The environment is hip – in terms of portrayal, and what you do for it. Axent chooses brands that love nature and respect it in the clothing making process. Now that the trend on the catwalk has also been quite literally translated into natural fabrics, motifs and shades such as bright blue and green, you can have both.

This blouse with smock sleeves from B Copenhagen is one of those pieces. The earthy colors leave it up to the imagination – just like a blue sky with the sun breaking through – and the brand is very concerned with sustainability. For example, they use organic cotton, recycled polyester and sustainable viscose. A similar stunner is this blue copy with plant shapes. The brand, Xandres, has used a little more recycled and certified materials every year.

V stands for shape

Summer 2023 will put a spotlight on the hip part, and for plus-size women this is a big party. On the catwalk in Milan and Paris, models were literally dressed in molds and bumpers, but it is a lot more elegant if you have those shapes naturally. So unpack! We are quite fond of these flexible trousers from Doris Streich in black and beige. It starts close-fitting and slowly flares out at the legs, very elegant. But you can also play with silhouettes, for example with this dress made of soft jersey.

You can also participate in this festive trend by using striking prints and bright colors in the area from your waist to your knees. By keeping the rest of your look calm, you direct the focus to the shapes you are proud of. Looks great – but of course we already knew that.

Indigo

Denim is always beautiful, but this season we can take it up a notch. From Blumarine to Ralph Lauren, designers were busy reinventing the deep blue, raw fabric. Axent has therefore added a number of special nail sensations to its range – some modest, others slightly more expressive. Like these capri jeans in a trendy version.

Not a fan of sturdy material? You can also 'fake' nails and choose a different fabric in a faded or mixed blue print. For example, this mid-length tie-dye skirt is a real showstopper . It falls just above the knees, giving your curves the attention they deserve, and at the same time it is beautifully flattering. The cute tassels in the center add something refined to your look.

Comes out nicely

Asymmetrical and in all kinds of fabric directions. That is the trend, as turbulent as the world itself. It offers many possibilities for your curves , because they receive attention under those unexpected pieces of fabric. For example, this flowing black and white dress from Mat Fashion plays with the inverted triangle; on the one hand slim and toned, on the other hand a real shoutout to your hips and thighs. These are beautifully highlighted by the contrasting print.

Also nice is this subtler version of the trend, a T-shirt with a drawing and an asymmetrical point. That makes it moderate, but also fashionable . Would you rather determine the shape and direction of the fabric yourself? This is possible with this beautiful cotton pareo in warm red and pink tones.
